Did you know that many of our products and small systems can also be used to test sheaths and to pinpoint sheath faults?

Sheath testing as well as locating and fixing sheath faults is one of the essential aspects in today’s network maintenance. Only externally intact cables guarantee long, undisturbed and fault-free operation. Sheath testing and fault pinpointing is now available in VLF 28 with standard with 10 kV and pulse intervals of 4s 1:3, 4s 1:5, 6s 1:5, 6s 1:9. This means that after a VLF test you can immediately also check the state of the cable sheath and, if there is a sheath fault, you can immediately pinpoint it with our ESG 80. Sheath testing and fault pinpointing is also available in the SPG 40, our very newest portable fault location system and the SPG 5-1000, our solution for fault location in branched low voltage and street lighting networks, with the patented ICE Plus pre-location process.
