Using tracer gas for leak location is based on the provenmethod of locating leakages in marsh gas pipe lines with electronic gas tracing instruments.

Our H2 LUX is very well suited, with its precise and quick response, for minute location of smallest leakages.

Due to its low specific weight and its molecular structure, tracer gas has the ability to rapidly penetrate all materials (concrete, tiles, tar etc.) and to ascend vertically, where it can be consequently traced with the H2 LUX .

To locate a leakage, the pipe line to be examined is filled with tracer gas, which exits at the leakage and is accurately located on the surface.

Features:

  • highest sensitivity
  • adjustable sensitivity makes the instrument considerably more dynamic
  • no saturation – even with big leaks
  • automatic zero point adjustment
  • ergonomic casing
  • lighter and easier to carry
  • carrying belt – lets you have both hands free
  • short battery charging-time
  • chargeable in a vehicle (12V)
  • durable batteries

Tracergas

The tracer gas does not consist of pure hydrogen but of a gas mix made up of 5% Hydrogen and 95% nitrogen. This gas mix is non-flammable, non-toxic, non-corrosive and environment-friendly. Hydrogen, as well as nitrogen occur in all biological systems.
